"He who goes forth shining” is a meaning of his name. He was the patron of all Aztec warriors and as a benevolent god, Tonatiuh provided his people and other living beings with warmth and fertility. But as a payment he required blood sacrifice.

Now, we are living in the modern world so no blood sacrifice is needed, but sacrifice on its own is a very important part of everyone’s life, believe it or not. Let me explain.

Ill take myself as an example. I have a lot of roles to play in my life, and the most important one right now is being a mother. The second most important role is being a ceramic artist. I spent 70-80% of my time with my daughter, and 20-30% of my time I dedicate to creating when she is asleep or when my husband can take over, but he works a lot. Which leads me to the third most important role - being a wife. And I struggle with that one right now as i have zero time left for it. My husband, thankfully, is being incredibly understanding and supportive of me, and that is our sacrifice right now, which will make our relationship stronger, as we help each other grow.

So if you are dreaming of your perfect future self and you are seeking change in your life - sacrifice is inevitable. Let your old self go as the sun sets, and let the new version of you be reborn as the sun rises.

So, if you are ready to undergo that change, this vase is for you. If not - don’t buy it, you’ll be better of without it.
